Methodology
Built on an open standard.
Human Aligned Health does not invent its own measure of thriving. It uses the Thrivability Index, an open standard published under CC BY 4.0 at thrivability.ai. The full definitions, item wording, scoring, and revision history live there.
The reading is a single slider per dimension, zero to ten, integer step. The overall score is the unweighted arithmetic mean of the eight, rounded to one decimal. There is no proprietary algorithm, no black box, no weighting. If you disagree with a definition, you can inspect it, use it under CC BY 4.0, and fork it.
The eight dimensions
- Mental HealthA state of wellbeing in which you can realize your potential, cope with normal stresses, work productively, and contribute to your community.
- Emotional WellbeingYour capacity to process emotional experience and to recover from it, not the absence of difficult feeling.
- Social WellbeingThe quality of your close relationships and your sense of belonging.
- Physical and BiologicalA positive state of physical wellbeing, including energy and vitality, not merely the absence of illness.
- Financial StabilityA sense of material security and freedom from economic stress.
- Purpose and MeaningA sense of direction and significance in your life and your work.
- Personal Growth and LearningYour capacity to develop, adapt, and exercise competence across life and work.
- Community and Environmental EngagementYour participation in community and civic life, and your connection to place and the natural world.
